First day of my pre-trip trip!

This morning, I am sitting in the lobby of the Marriott Maida Vale after a lovely evening with my friend, Gina, and Martin and Pamela.  We all went to see "The Book of Mormon" at the Prince of Wales Theatre based on Martin's recommendation.   It is very irreverent but really, really funny.  Then for coffee and cheesecake (thanks, Pamela!) before calling it a day.

Thank goodness it was a great evening because it really is not fun travelling from Ayr to London!  I left my house yesterday morning at 9:30 am, parked at Glasgow airport for a one hour flight and met Gina at the Marriott at 4pm!   The main drag is arriving in London and deciding to take the tube and not the Heathrow Express.  Then, not being familiar with exactly how the tube map symbols work!  Oh well, live and learn.

This is a new part of London for both Gina and myself so we are hoping to explore Little Venice today.

“TWENTY bridges from Tower to Kew -
Wanted to know what the River knew,
Twenty Bridges or twenty-two,
For they were young, and the Thames was old
And this is the tale that River told:”
